Facebook has made its Ad Archive feature a little more comprehensive to help citizens understand which political party is spending more on ads on the social network.
The Ad Archive feature was launched in May. As an update to the feature, Facebook has made the information about political spenders more comprehensible and useful even for non-Facebook members.
It now includes a weekly report summarizing political and issues advertising on the platform, Mashable reported.
What is interesting is that the report will also highlight the amount spent by each political party or individual, along with the number of ads they have run in a given week.
The increased transparency comes on the heels of the Cambridge Analytica scandal which reportedly influenced the US Presidential Elections in 2016.
