Fan trailer: SRK back with his 'Darr' theme

After movies like 'Ra One' and 'Dilwale,' Shahrukh Khan is back to prove his 'Badshahi' with the upcoming film 'Fan' whose trailer was released yesterday to much fanfare.

The trailer of Maneesh Sharma's much awaited directorial venture 'Fan,' launched in Mumbai on February 29, showing SRK at his stunning best portraying a fan's obsession. The monologue 'Gaurav makes Aryan; Without Gaurav, Aryan is nothing' speaks for itself.

The film has been shot in various locations in Mumbai, Croatia and Delhi and boasts of a unique story line revolving around a fan, who turns out to be the exact lookalike of his favorite star.

The 2.51-minute video shows Gaurav, an obsessive fan of superstar Aryan Khanna, who tries up every possible means to meet his idol and this craze, turns him into Aryan's biggest enemy.

Recreating the 50-year-old actor's superhit 'Darr,' 'Fan' has Shah Rukh in a double role with excellent prosthetics in play.

Before this theatrical, buzz was already created with the first teaser that came out early last year followed by the second teaser that was out on the 'Dilwale' star's 50th birthday. While the first teaser had montage shots of Aryan in the background and the second teaser introduced Gaurav's character to the audience, the trailer will have both of them together.

In February, a promotional song 'Jabra Fan' was launched in the national capital which went viral within some days. This Vishal-Shekhar composition was then dubbed in six other regional languages to keep up the craze.

'Fan,' produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj banner, will be released on April 15 this year.
