Fans wish Madonna a Happy 60th birthday

Fans showered their wishes as American pop queen Madonna turned 60 on Thursday.

One of her peers Kylie Minogue wished her on her birthday and called her to be an inspiring figure.

" Happy birthday to Lady @Madonna!!! I'm 14 years old, dancing and singing in my bedroom and she was just WOW!!! What a force and an inspiration. Enjoy your day Madonna!!! ??????"

Another well-known celebrity, a talk show host Andy Cohen credited the 'Girl Gone Wild' crooner for giving everyone the soundtrack of their lives.

Darren Hayes of 'Insatiable' fame thanked Madonna for playing a big part in his life and helping him become what he is today.

He tweeted, " I wouldn't be who I am without @Madonna - Happy Birthday, Queen."

Another fan even went on to credit for her song which promoted safe sex and spread awareness about HIV and AIDS.

She wrote, " When Madonna released Like A Prayer in 1989 she included this insert with the first pressings: a guide to safe sex and warnings about HIV/aids during one of the darkest hours of the community, not just when it profited. Happy 60 big ones to this icon ??#MadonnaAt60"

Another enthusiastic fan tweeted, "Happy birthday to the ultimate Queen on Pop, @Madonna has always been a groundbreaker, an icon, and a huge inspiration, and the music industry has been made all the better because of her music! #MadonnaAt60"
