FCC Chairman Ajit Pai has clarified that the hack on the council's comment system reported last year never took place as there was a lack of evidence supporting the claim.

Pai also blamed the former chief information officer and Obama administration for the misinformation to American citizens and the Congress, TechCrunch reported.

It was believed to be a DDoS hack, whereas millions of Americans simply overwhelmed the online system to give their feedback on net neutrality and keeping the internet open for all.
