The Federal Alliance protesting against the Nepal's Constitution which was promulgated last year, has called on a month long relay hunger strike.
According to the Federal Alliance coordinator and Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav, the alliance would hold relay hunger strike from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day, from June 7 to July 15, in Kathmandu, reports the Himalayan Times.
Each constituent members would participate in the protest.
Yadav said that in order to make the protest more effective, various cultural and literary performances would be held during the hunger strike.
The alliance said it would launch other protest programmes later, maintaining that the protests would not stop till their demands were met.
Amongst other demands, the main demand of the Alliance is rewriting of the Constitution which they call discriminatory.
