Female NASCAR driver Danica Patrick's boss has reportedly revealed that the racer could switch to Formula One in 2016.
Motorsport mogul Gene Haas is reportedly preparing to launch a new Formula One team for which he would need two drivers and he seems to be open to the possibility of Patrick being a candidate for one of those spots.
According to News.com.au, Haas said that Patrick would bring an awful lot of viewership, and he feels that it would be great for America and she would be a great candidate for his team.
However, Haas added that whether would give one of the two spots for driving for his upcoming Formula One team to Patrick is, he feels, kind of a long shot there.
Patrick is reportedly the most successful woman in modern motorsport, having toiled quite fruitfully in the Verizon IndyCar Series between 2005-11, posting seven top-three finishes and one victory, the first ever achieved by a woman.
Since switching to NASCAR in 2012, Patrick has finished in the top ten twice, the report added.
