The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in association with Indian Council of Arbitration (ICA) and the SAARC Arbitration Council (SARCO) will organize a seminar on "Arbitration and Conciliation in India and other SAARC Countries" on August 22 at the Federation House here.
Suresh Chandra, Joint Secretary and Advisor, Ministry of Law and Justice, will address the session.
L. Savitri, Special Representative, SAARC, and Thusantha Wijemanna, Director General, SARCO, will also speak at the seminar.
The seminar will focus on the prospects and effectiveness of arbitration and conciliation in settlement of commercial disputes in SAARC countries and deliberate upon the key roles played by arbitration and conciliation in saving precious time and money of the international business operators.
Besides, the representatives of SAARC countries and leaders of business and industry, diplomats and professionals will also be attending the seminar.
