FIFA chief Sepp Blatter has stated that under 17 football world cup would initiate the first boom of sport in the cricket dominant India.

Blatter believes that India has made the right steps in developing the sport as it has started a professional football league with former players and good players. He further said that the right promotion will come in 2017 in the form of under-17 world cup, which is scheduled to be held in 2017, Sport24 reported.

Blatter visited Sri Lanka to inaugurate a football stadium in Jaffna.
