Filmmaker B. Ashok Kumar commits suicide

Kollywood film producer and director B. Ashok Kumar allegedly committed suicide at his residence in Chennai's Alwarthirunagar on Tuesday.

He was reportedly being harassed and threatened by a financier, with whom he was associated for more than seven years.

Ashok Kumar, a cousin of popular Tamil cinema director Sasikumar, has co-produced his films, including 'Eesan', 'Poraali' and the yet-to-be-released 'Kodi Veeran'.
