Firing took place at LoC early this morning as Pakistan resorted to ceasefire violation in Rajouri Poonch area of Jammu, according to Defence PRO Manish Mehta.
Indian and Pakistani troops were engaged in firing which started at around 7:30 am in the morning and lasted till 7:55am in the morning.
Semi automatic and automatic weapons by used by the Pakistan army, including mortar rounds after which Indian troops also retaliated.
This is the first time there has been firing from Pakistani side after the Indo Pak PM meet.
Congress leader Rashid Alvi has said that the Prime Minister Modi should now look into this matter.
He said, "After former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee went to Lahore, Kargil happended. Now, Nawaz Sharif has been called to India and firing has been reported. The PM should look at why this happened.
