Fitpass introduces easy rides to gym with Uber

Fitpass has joined hands with taxi aggregator Uber to allow its users to book cabs from their Fitpass app itself. Users will see the option of booking an Uber right next to the address of their favorite fitness studio or gym.

The customers can view the estimated pickup time, trip charges and journey duration and choose their cab simultaneously while reserving the workout of their choice. The partnership which brings together two category leaders seeks to eliminate the need for consumers to switch between different apps to fulfill their daily needs.

"We are pleased to enter into this partnership with Uber to bring together two category leaders focused on providing top notch customer experiences. Fitpass has broken the price, convenience and monotony barriers for the consumers. Now, with Uber as our partner, we aim to solve for the mobility barriers too," said Co-Founder Fitpass, Akshay Verma.

"We understand that getting to workouts can sometimes be a hassle and lack of parking facilities can be further bothersome. But, Fitpass users needn't worry about it anymore. They can easily book their preferred Uber service via the Fitpass app itself. The partnership with Uber is a step ahead in our overall aim to make working out as seamless and fun as possible," added Akshay Verma.

Through the API integration, Fitpass users across Delhi-NCR can ride easily to any of the partner gyms and fitness studios in the company's network.

It also allows them to choose where to workout depending on the time and fare it will take to reach their destination. The integration, therefore, will help Fitpass users make more informed and convenient choices and to get fitter with greater facility. Simultaneously, the partnership will also help Uber gain greater access to its target consumer base.
