The incident took place at around 4 a.m. at the Tedhimal roundabout near Puramufti police station.

Out of the deceased, four hail from Jaunpur village. Three other people who sustained serious injuries have been admitted to the Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital in Allahabad.
