Five school children killed, 25 injured in van-train collision

At least five children lost their lives, while 25 others got seriously injured here on Thursday when their school van collided with the Tamsa Express in Uttar Pradesh's Mau region.
The incident occurred at the railway crossing as the driver tried to cross the tracks.
The train was heading to Varanasi.
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu made a statement in the Lok Sabha on Thursday with regard to the incident, and on behalf of the government and citizens of the country, offered his condolences to the bereaved families.
