Five schoolboys were apprehended for carrying out a 'cracker attack' at their school in North Nazimabad but the police later released them on Monday evening.
The police claimed to have made a major breakthrough over the attack outside The Educators School, located in North Nazimabad's Block A, reports Dawn.
One of the suspect informed that firecracker injured him while he was trying to explode it.
Two brothers ,Osama, a matric student and Zarar, a student of class 8 are the key suspects including other three students who were also involved in the conspiracy, said SHO Hussain.
DIG Shah added that their detention was enough punishment for them and the authority do not want to spoil the careers of these students.
He further added that the investigator officer of the case will submit the report to the court.
These students wanted to harass the principal of the school to let them sit for their internal examinations.
It has been confirmed that this was not a case of terrorism.
