The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday received 12-day custody of the five accused, who were arrested from Hyderabad over suspicion of having terror links.
The agency had detained 11 people for suspected terror links in raids conducted at several places in Hyderabad on June 29.
Five of the 11 suspects were arrested and sent to a day's judicial custody on Thursday.
NIA sources said they had information that those five people were involved in terrorist activities.
An FIR was registered against them on June 22.
During the raid, the materials seized included weapons and ammunition, urea, acids, hydrogen peroxide and some other chemicals, electronic gadgets and other incriminating material. Among the seized arms, ammunitions and chemicals are: two pistols and one air gun and pellets, Rs. 15 lakh cash, urea, some other unidentified chemicals, 23 mobile phones, three laptops and one tab.
The NIA sources had told ANI the investigating agencies are questioning the suspects for their plans to hit the targets, including Bhagya Laxmi temple near Charminar.
The NIA sources said that Habeeb, who was tasked by their leader Mohammad Ibrahim Yazdani to collect chemicals for making high grade explosives, disclosed during the interrogation that they were shown bomb making videos from YouTube.
Sources disclosed that Habeeb had purchased chemicals like sulphuric acid, acetone and hydrogen peroxide from Hyderabad and Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh.
Habeeb, along with Yazdani, also went to Nanded on a bike to purchase two semi-automatic 9 mm pistols.
