Six people have been killed and several structures were destroyed as flash floods wreaked havoc in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours of Thursday.
The cloud burst took place between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. at night in the Thatri Town of the district.
The extent of the damage is yet to be fully ascertained. "A full-fledged operation is in place right now. The rescue team has managed to evacuate 7-8 people by now," said Bhupendra Kumar, ANI reporter.
Water supply pipes and power supply remained snapped in the area.
