Styletag.com, India's first online women's curated fashion and lifestyle destination has announced the appointment of its new CEO, Michael Mehran Adnani.

Michael Adnani will spearhead the company's operations and helm its evolution as it enters into a new phase of growth and expansion.

Michael has joined Styletag from Flipkart, where he was the Vice President of the commerce platform and headed the strategic brand alliances for the e-commerce giant.

Speaking on the announcement, Sanjay Shroff, founder and managing director, Styletag.com, said, "Styletag has experienced notable and visible growth since inception and, through our conservative and innovative strategies. We have been able to create an enterprise, which has weathered the various weather patterns that have emerged in the ECom landscape."

"Styletag now possesses the correct ingredients for rapid acceleration, expansion and consolidation. We already have an omni-channel presence, which was established two years ago and which has turned profitable. Styletag's private labels have grown to become recognized brands and have established their own set of loyal customers, both online as well as offline. Importantly, Styletag has reached the milestone of being margin positive," he added.

"Now, we are looking to further bring in fresh ideas and perspectives as we usher in a new era of expansion and next round of exponential growth. Unlike many other Indian start-ups, Styletag has always been open to the idea of having professional C-Sec executives with requisite expertise in key management positions with a strong belief that a seasoned professional who brings in industry expertise and domain knowledge is the ideal match for its needs," he further said.

Explaining his decision to join Styletag, Michael said, "As the CEO of Styletag, my role is well-defined and comes at a time when the market is ripe with healthy competition. Today, the brand stands as one of the foremost players in the online fashion and lifestyle segment and the Styeltag team has a deep understanding of the nuances of the Indian fashion scene. My job will be to leverage the strengths of the company and turn them into winning strategies to cement Styletag's position as a domain leader."

Michael holds over 30 years of work experience in retail and e-commerce, merchandising, management, marketing and sales gained during his earlier association with Flipkart, Sears Holdings, Nextag.com, Overstock.com, GEFS, Inc., Fry's Electronics, CompUSA, Hexagon Computer Systems Inc., and Integrated Decision Systems, Inc. Michael has a great eye for trends and quality and has successfully managed teams, groups and an entire division under his leadership.
