Two dams in Nepal's Dolpa District have been reportedly damaged by floods caused by incessant rainfall.
According to the nepalnews.com web site, dams of the Jairigad Hydropower Project in Dunai and the Chhalgad Hydropower Project in Tripurakot have been damaged.
The report further stated that at least six Village Development Committees (VDCs) are without electricity for the past two days.
They include Tripurakot, Raha, Sun, Dunai, Juphal and Sahartara.
The Nepal Electricity Authority in Dolpa has said that the water level in the rivers has not decreased, and therefore, it is difficult to reconstruct the dams.
It said that it will take at least two months to rebuild the dams.
