Senate Intelligence Committeee Chairman Richard Burr has accused the former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, of not cooperating with the investigation into Russians meddling in the U.S. Presidential election.
Flynn has not agreed to comply with May 10 subpoena for documents about his interactions with Russian officials.
Flynn "is not cooperating so far. I may have been premature but there may be a day or two left," The Hill quoted Burr as saying.
Flynn, the former national security adviser, was fired in February for misleading Vice President Mike Pence about the contents of a December phone call with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
He has been under scrutiny for accepting payments from Russia and Turkey and allegedly misleading the government about them.
On Wednesday, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced that he had appointed former FBI director Robert Mueller to be the special counsel in charge of the FBI's ongoing investigation into Russian election meddling and the ties between Russia and the Trump campaign officials.
