There's the sound of chopping, whisking, frying, shaking and stirring across Bangalore today as budding chefs and mixologist brought together a culinary storm at the Food Hospitality World (FHW) Show. The event titled "Culinary and Mixology Competition" in association with U.S. Premium Agricultural Products was organised as a concurrent special event along with the "South India Culinary Challenge and Baking Contest".
Touted as South India's biggest culinary challenge, the event brings together top hotels and bakery chefs who showcase their gastronomic skills.
The three-day extravaganza organised at White Orchid Convention Centre, Bangalore from August 9-11 2017, showcased the finest produce from the American soil. The idea was to highlight the uniqueness and versatility of the U.S. Premium Agricultural Products such as U.S. Cranberries, Washington Apples, USA Pears, California Walnuts and U.S. Pecans.
The Culinary and Mixology Competition was a great success with participation from over 30 chefs and mixologists across South India. The event saw some phenomenal talent where participants created innovative recipes using the finest U.S. Premium Agricultural Products such as U.S. Cranberries, Washington Apples, USA Pears, California Walnuts and U.S. Pecans as the main ingredients.
Robert Hospet, Rasikta Kamble and Harry Simon Peter from Lounge Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. (Embassy Leisure), Courtyard and Fairfield by Marriott and ITC Gardenia respectively were declared as the winners of the Mixology Competition respectively. They created Enter the Dragon, Black Pearl Treasure Chest and Asian Elixir that were loved by the esteemed jury and audience alike.

I've always enjoyed experimenting with food and this contest gave me a huge platform to showcase my expertise, appreciating my passion for food and take my culinary journey to the next level. I am grateful that U.S. Premium Agricultural Products has given me this amazing opportunity to showcase my talent," said Robert Hospet.
