Forbes rich list: Taylor Swift, SRK, Akshay grab eyeballs

At a tender age of 26, pop diva Taylor Swift made it to the top of Forbes 2016 rich list, while Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar too grabbed place among the top 100.

Swift's rise this year is a direct result of immense success of her last album, '1989,' that has sold more than five million units in the US alone and surpassed the Rolling Stones' North American touring record, grossing 200 million dollars.

SRK ranks 86th on the list with earnings of 33 million dollars, while Akshay comes in on the 94th spot with 31.5 million dollars earnings.

According to Forbes, the 'Fan' star "continues to rule Bollywood's box office" with lead roles in hit films and also earns upfront fees of multi million dollars and a cut of the backend for his efforts.

Akshay, the 48-year old Bollywood actor, however slipped in ranks this year from 76th in 2015.

Forbes, adding to that, said, "he is one of Bollywood's busiest leading men and banked top rupee for three hit films."

Meanwhile, Swift's former boyfriend Calvin Harris claimed the 21st spot on the list with 63 million dollars.
