Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar on Wednesday will conclude his four-nation SAARC Yatra with Afghanistan.
The Foreign Secretary began his SAARC yatra with Bhutan, later travelling to Bangladesh. On Tuesday, Jaishankar met his Pakistani counterpart Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry in Islamabad, the
first meeting between the two Foreign Secretaries since New Delhi had called off talks in August 2014.
He will undertake visits to Sri Lanka, Maldives and Nepal later.
The Foreign Secretary's schedule was announced days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted on February 13 that Jaishankar would be leaving on a SAARC Yatra.
