Former Afghanistan Prez Karzai calls on PM Modi

Former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.

The two leaders spoke on issues pertaining to the interests of both nations.

After the meeting, Prime Minister Modi took to twitter.

"Met former Afghanistan President Mr. Hamid Karzai," he wrote, also posting a picture of the encounter.

On Wednesday, Karzai, speaking at a conference here, had stated that Kabul's new policy, which was formulated after the 2001 terror attacks in New York, has placed India in a very prominent position.
