Four arrested in MP for poaching black buck

Four people, including two former Ranji trophy cricketers, were arrested for poaching black bucks in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar region yesterday.

Mehmood Khan, a former Ranji trophy player, his son Rameej , presently a member of Madhya Pradesh Ranji team, along with two others were arrested under Wildlife Conservation act. They have been handed over to the forest department for further action.

The police also recovered a rifle, some live ammunition, an axe, a knife along with the dead black buck from the arrested individuals.

All the four accused, who are residents of Sagar, ventured into the forest on two motorcycles and killed a black buck.
