An explosion has been reported near the 'sensitive' Cantonment Board area of Balochistan's Zhob district in Pakistan on Friday.

Dawn reported that the Deputy Commissioner of Zhob has confirmed about the blast.

Unofficial sources said four people were injured in the explosion but the casualties are still not clear.

A heavy contingent of security forces personnel reached the blast site and cordoned off the area.

Zhob is considered to be one of the sensitive districts of Balochistan since it borders with the country's volatile tribal belt.

Further reports are awaited.
