French President Emmanuel Macron is being mercilessly trolled on the social media after he reportedly called Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull's wife Lucy Turnbull "delicious".
Macron is said to have made this comment in a press conference on Tuesday which later got viral among the social media users as some of them trolled and others supported him.
There were many who said as the primary language of Macron is French; it is possible that he would have been a victim of wrong translation.
Further, some said that it was a case of slip of the tongue.

The Australian media house Nine News Australia seemed to have not taken Macron's reported comment lightly as it tweeted, "Only a French President could get away with calling our Prime Minister's wife "delicious"."
Political reporter for the BuzzFeed Alice Workman posted a witty tweet as he wrote "Macron just said he wanted to thank Malcolm Turnbull and his "delicious wife". You can take the man out of France but..."
The reported comment of 'delicious wife' got so famous in Twitter that it featured on the Twitter moments as well as it included several tweets by people on the said remark.
