A former policeman, who fled from a Dhaka court on Sunday while being sent to jail over the death of a detainee in 2012, was arrested in the old part of Dhaka today.
The Daily Star said former sub-inspector Rezaul Karim Patwari was arrested from Roy Shaheb Bazar area around 2 p.m. on Monday.
Patowary, a suspended sub inspector, escaped from the court after Judge Mohammad Akhtaruzzaman of Special Judge's Court-5 rejected his bail petition in the case.
