The TV fantasy series 'Game of Thrones' topped the nomination list for the Primetime Emmy awards 2014 with a whooping 19 nominations.
Amongst the categories for which the show, which is based on the books by George R.R. Martin, gained nods were best drama series, best supporting actor- Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister, and best supporting actress- Lena Heady, who portrays Cersei Lannister, News.com.au reported.
The royal feud series would be competing against 'Breaking Bad', 'Mad Men', 'House of Cards', 'True Detective' and 'Downton Abbey' for best drama series title.
While, miniseries 'Fargo' claimed 18 nominations, 'Breaking Bad' gained 16, 'Orange Is the New Black', which is in its first year of Emmy's eligibility, seemed to have most nominations in comedy show category with 12 nods, TV Channel HBO won the most nominations overall with 99.
TV stars Mindy Kaling and Carson Daly announced the nominations for the Awards at the headquarters of the Television Academy in Los Angeles, for which the main event will be held in late August.
