Australian golfer Geoff Ogilvy surged to the top of the Australian Open leader board after scoring a brilliant eight-under-par 64 at Royal Sydney on Saturday.
Ogilvy has taken a two-shot lead over Jordan Spieth and two others going into the final round, which would be held tomorrow, reports the Guardian.
The 39-year-old is 11-under, with Spieth lurking ominously two shots back after grinding out a third-round 68.
Spieth, who is current world number five, recovered from a wobbly start to shoot a 68 and share the second place with Aaron Baddeley (67) and New Zealander Ryan Fox (71).
The 2010 Open champion, who iced his round with a stunning approach on the 18th for a tap-in birdie three, said, "To be honest, I didn't really see 64 on the first tee."
"But after going out so well on the front nine I kind of started seeing a score like that. It's always a nice feeling. I'm back in the mix," he added.
James Nitties (74), along with Higginbottom (66), Jason Scrivener (69) and Lucas Herbert (71) all share sixth place with Scott.
