Gerard Barrett has been signed to write and direct Dakota Fanning in a drama based on Susannah Cahalan's bestselling memoir 'Brain On Fire
The Denver and Delilah Films' project will be produced by Charlize Theron, Beth Kono, and A.J. Dix and Rob Merilees of Foundation Features will produce and finance, Deadline.com reported.
Barrett, who's recent work 'Glassland' is set to compete in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at Sundance, will also be co-producer on the film, for which the Canadian-Irish co-production will shoot in May in Vancouver and New York.
