Scotland has witnessed a dignified defeat at the hands of Germany at the opening Euro 2016 qualifier.

The Scottish team although rode their luck during the first half but incurred a loss at the end thanks to two goals from Thomas Muller, reported the BBC. Germany won the match 2-1.

Scotland's poor defense allowed Muller to strike from close range and seal a victory.

However, the team did pose a challenge to the shaky German defense and matched the World Cup winners bravely.
