Former England limited-overs coach Ashley Giles has said that it is 'too late' to remove Alastair Cook from the captaincy of England's cricket team since the World Cup is only five months away.
England has won only a one-day series against a Test-playing nation since 2012 and many players have demanded Cook's resignation.
England would be playing seven 50-over matches in Sri Lanka in November and December, reported the BBC.
They will face India and Australia in a triangular series in January before the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in February and March.
Giles said that another poor series could make cook's position 'untenable'.
