Germany vowed not to 'humiliate' Brazil during halftime discussion, claims Hummels

German defender Mats Hummels has revealed that he and his teammates held a discussion in the dressing room at half-time and made a pact not to 'humiliate' Brazil during their World Cup semifinal battering.

Hummels revealed that he and his teammates talked in the dressing room in Belo Horizonte after going into a 5-0 interval lead over the hosts.

Joachim Low's men agreed not to 'show-boat' and Hummels, who is a Manchester United target after their historic 7-1 semifinal win, said that the squad just made it clear that they had to stay focused and try not to humiliate Brazil, reports The Mirror.

Hummels revealed that he and his teammates said that they had to stay serious and concentrate at half-time, adding that that is something one does not have to show on the pitch if a team is playing.

The defender said that one has to show the opponent respect and it was very important that Germany did this and did not try to show some magic or something like this. Hummels added that it was important that they played their game for 90 minutes.

Brazil were left completely stunned ?by Germany's raging victory but Hummels insisted that they must repeat their World Cup masterclass if they are to win the final on Sunday, the report added.
