'Get Lucky' was recently awarded the song of the year title by licensing body Broadcast Music Inc (BMI) at an award ceremony for songwriters who got the most airplays on US radio and TV.
The song was co-written by Nile Rodgers, Pharrell Williams and Daft Punk duo Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, and the team was also honoured at the Grammys in Los Angeles earlier this year, the BBC reported.
Lyricist Sir Tim Rice was awarded the Icon award for his contribution to music at the ceremony, which had taken place at the Dorchester hotel in London.
Meanwhile, Van Morrison was honoured for his 1967 classic track 'Brown Eyed Girl' and ' Have I Told You Lately,' 'Every Breath You Take' written by Sting for The Police, was honoured for notching up 12 million plays, and Swedish DJ Avicii for ' Wake Me Up'.
