Ghani to attend 46th World Economic Forum in Switzerland

Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani has left for Switzerland where he will participate in the 46th World Economic Forum at Davos from January 20 to 23.

World leaders will convene at the meeting in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, under the theme 'Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution'.

Over 40 heads of state as well as 2,500 business and society leaders are expected to attend the forum, reports Tolo news.

Critical current challenges, such as security, climate change,'new normal' global growth and commodity prices, are among the key issues on the agenda.

It is expected that Ghani will meet Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Vice President of

United State Joe Biden on the sidelines of the summit.

This comes after the second Quadrilateral Coordination Group (QCG) of Afghanistan, Pakistan, the United States and China on the Afghan peace and reconciliation process that was held in Kabul.
