Gigi Hadid, who is all set to co-host 2016 'American Music Awards', recently revealed that she is "definitely" voting for her boyfriend Zayn Malik, who is a nominee in the 'New Artist of the Year' category.

According to eonline.com, the annual awards show holds a special place for the 21-year-old model, who said, "I am definitely voting for him. I don't know if I'm allowed to say that as a host, but I am."

"My first AMAs that I went to was in 2013. I remember I wore a Prabal Gurung suit and I was really excited about it," she recalled, "I was just glad that somebody took a picture of me, honestly, and knew who I was."

Malik is nominated alongside other contenders like Alessia Cara, The Chainsmokers, DNCE and Shawn Mendes.

Like any other year, this year's awards show promises plenty of star power. Performers include James Bay, The Chainsmokers, Fifth Harmony, Ariana Grande, Green Day, Halsey, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, John Legend, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Mendes, Nicki Minaj, Sting, Twenty One Pilots and The Weeknd.

Meanwhile, the 'Victoria's Secret' angel is also gearing up for the lingerie brand's current year's runway show which will air on December 5 on CBS.

The '44th Annual American Music Awards' will take place on November 20, 2016, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
