The Lakme Fashion Week 2014 came to an end with grandeur and glitter on Sunday in Mumbai.

The most sought after fashion week saw famous Bollywood actresses walking down the ramp for ace designers.

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor walked the ramp for designer Rajesh Pratap Singh and set the stage ablaze with the sheer charm of the dress and the model herself.

Kapoor expressed her excitement on being part of the fashion show.

"Well, I think it's an absolute honour to be the brand ambassador for Lakme. Year after year, to take the ramp they give me the opportunity to not just feel like a star but feel like a model. It's my moment in the year which I really look forward to, but I think this time was really special, I could feel the entire stage was on fire not because of the fire rows but because of Rajesh Pratap's clothes, so let's hear it for him,"Kapoor said.

Kapoor looked dazzling in a long black dress sans accessories and a tied hairdo.

Singh shared his experience so far and was all praises for Kapoor.

"It's good to be here and it was good to work with the Lakme team and Kareena is really really beautiful and we are happy that she was here,"Singh said.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra walked the ramp for designer Neeta Lulla.

Chopra appreciated Lulla's talent for having presented iconic and unforgettable characters in films.

"Neeta is an iconic designer when it comes to Indian clothes, she has done some incredible characters and you know characters that we will always remember and I know her since I started doing movies, so it was wonderful walking the ramp for her," Lulla said.

The fashion extravaganza kickstarted from March 12 and reportedly 98 designers showcased their collection.

Lulla claimed that Chopra's style justified her collection.

"It's fantastic to be doing the showcase with my showstopper Priyanka Chopra, who I have worked with from her first film and she is absolutely gorgeous in the way she carries off the clothes, her style statement which is elegant yet simplistic, really trendy and does justice to the collection,"she said.

The Summer-Resort 2014 has been a treat for fashion lovers as it presented a whirl of luxurious clothing, drama and vision.

The five-day event hosted some of the most influential collections of the season with a vibrant group of designers presenting a spectacular show that will add an epitome of luxury, glamour and style to Indian fashion.
