Hollywood star Allison Janney has now become a 'Golden Globe' winning artist as the actress took home the trophy for 'Best Supporting Actor (Female) in a Motion Picture for her performance in dark-comedy 'I, Tonya'.
Janney thanked co-star Margot Robbie, who she called a "quadruple threat," and the real-life Tonya Harding in her acceptance speech, who she noted was in the audience.
She said, "Tonya Harding is here tonight. I'd like to thank Tonya for sharing her story."
Gushing over Margot Robbie, Janney thanked the former for her "unbelievable, brave, fearless portrayal of Tonya."
The actress beat out Mary J. Blige in 'Mudbound', Hong Chau in 'Downsizing', Laurie Metcalf in 'Lady Bird' and Octavia Spencer in 'The Shape of Water'.
Meanwhile, Sam Rockwell won the award for 'Best Supporting Actor (Male)' for his his portrayal as Jason Dixon in 'Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing Missouri'.
This was the first Golden Globe win for the actor. He thanked his "amazing cast" and also director Martin McDonagh for "not being a d***."
Rockwell, who has done a lot of work in independent films, also joked that "it was nice to be in a movie that people see."
In the flick, Rockwell plays Officer Dixon, a hotheaded racist cop from a fictional Midwestern town who goes up against a mom (played by Frances McDormand) seeking justice for her murdered daughter.
The actor also thanked his co-star, Frances McDormand for making him a "better actor" and added, "Frances McDormand. I've said it before, you're a bad ass, you're a force of nature. And it was really fun to be your partner and thanks for making me a better actor."
The star won out over Willem Dafoe ('The Florida Project'), Armie Hammer ('Call Me by Your Name'), Richard Jenkins ('The Shape of Water') and Christopher Plummer ('All the Money in the World').
