'Gone With the Wind' star Mary Anderson passes away at 96

Mary Anderson, who played Maybelle Merriwether in the iconic film 'Gone With the Wind' has died at the age of 96.

The actress was married to famous cinematographer Leon Shamroy and had one child, The Hollywood Reporter reported.

Anderson also starred in Alfred Hitchcock's 'Lifeboat', where she played U.S. Army nurse Alice Mackenzie, opposite Tallulah Bankhead, William Bendix, Walter Slezak, John Hodiak and Hume Cronyn.
