Tech giant Google has reportedly bought the Word Lens maker Quest Visual, to boost its Translate feature.

The Word Lens translates printed words from one language to another with your smartphone's video camera, in real time.

According to CNET, Quest Visuals representative said that by joining Google, they can incorporate their technology into Google Translate's broad language coverage and translation capabilities.

However, both the companies kept mum about the deal.

Quest Visuals representative said they have made both the app and the language packs free to download for a limited time.
