Google officially announced the merging of Shopping Search and Express into the new Google Shopping experience.
As explained on the official blog, Google Shopping is an improved interface leveraging Google Search. Users can choose to make a purchase of products with a blue shopping cart next to it directly on Google, backed by the company's returns and other customer support services.
The new interface also brings new features for retailers and brands. Ads, local and transactions are now in one place to help them connect with consumers at the right time. The Shopping Actions will be extended to other Google surfaces including YouTube and Google Images later this year.
