Search engine Google has been testing self-driving cars for almost six years and it is now planning a joint venture with Ford to manufacture them.
The announcement is likely to be made in the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in January, 2016.
According to PC World.in, Ford may be Google's first self-driving car partner. Google co-founder Sergey Brin had announced in September that Google would look for partners to create such vehicles.
Self-driving car is the new frontier for both auto and IT companies with several projects on the ground, and rolling: Nissan, Mercedes, Volvo and even Apple.
