Former Croatian tennis player Goran Ivanisevic has said that he believed that French Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli will regret her shock decision to retire from the sport.
Bartoli, who has announced her retirement from the sport following her loss in her latest match at the Western and Southern Open, has suffered through a series of injuries even as she enjoyed the highlight of her career this year, winning at Wimbledon.
According to the Daily Star, Ivanisevic warned Bartoli that she would regret her decision not to play in next year's Wimbledon as there is nothing like playing at Wimbledon as Wimbledon champion.
Tearfully announcing her retirement after two hours of considering her physical condition, Bartoli had said that her Achilles, shoulder, hips and lower back hurt continuously when she played.
