Govt. approves six-laning of NH-2 on Aurangabad-Jharkhand border

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs on Wednesday approved six-laning of the National Highway-2 on the Aurangabad-Jharkhand border.

It will come under the National Highway Development project 5.

"It will be developed on the Build-operate-transfer (BOT) mode at an estimated cost of Rs. 4,9 18 crore," said Union Communications and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.

He said, "This is an important step in improving and expediting infrastructure between Bihar and Jharkhand.
