The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is slowly inching towards a stage to decide about a government formation in Jammu and Kashmir, as the Party High Command meeting is being held on Sunday in Srinagar.
Reports suggested that PDP president Mehbooba Mufti has called a meeting of core group members, senior party functionaries and former ministers in coalition government to discuss the overall political situation arising after the demise of former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
For the first time, she would be officially convening party meeting after mourning the death of her father Mufti Sayeed.
Party insiders said Mehbooba will take a final call on the government formation after taking all the party leaders into confidence.
BJP State president Sat Paul Sharma said the party had no official contact with the PDP, so far.
He said the BJP awaits formal decision of the PDP regarding the continuation of the coalition.
