Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on Tuesday said the government will make all arrangements to see that Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) students complete their courses on time.
"This was the fifth meeting with the FTII students. Many complex issues were highlighted during this meeting, like how the 2008 batch has not been able to finish its course, why the 2011 batch has been able to complete one year only and they still have two more years to complete," Rathore told media here.
"We have tried to make such engagements with the students where we have to hire more studios, make the Doordarshan studios in Mumbai available to them. The most important thing is that students should complete their course, get their diplomas and pass out," he added.
"I am sure that with the kind of interaction we had today, the complex and serious problems of the students and the institute will be solved," he further said.
The latest meeting follows several rounds of talks between the students and the Information and Broadcasting Ministry officials to break the deadlock at the Pune based premier film institute.
