The Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections in the month of July rose by Rs 873 crore as a total of Rs. 96,483 crore was collected last month against Rs 95,610 crore in June, according to the Ministry of Finance. The rise is on the expected lines.
Of the total gross GST revenue collections of Rs 96,483 crore in July, the Central GST is Rs. 15,877 crore, State GST stands at Rs. 22,293 crore, Integrated GST amounts to Rs. 49,951 crore (including Rs. 24,852 crore collected on imports) and cess is Rs. 8,362 crore (including Rs. 794 crore collected on imports).
A total number of GSTR 3B Returns filed for the month of July up to July 31, 2018, is 66 lakh.
The introduction of GST completed one-year in June. The monthly average collection in the last financial year was estimated to be Rs 89, 885 crore.
