Gunmen open fire at community meeting in Nigeria, 11 killed

At least 11 people were killed and four others injured after a gunmen opened fire at a community meeting in the central Nigerian Plateau state on Tuesday.

Nigerian police spokesman confirmed the death casualties on Wednesday.

"I can confirm that 11 people were killed while four others were injured on Tuesday night," the Anadolu Agency quoted police spokesman Terna Tyopev.

No arrest has been made in the incident so far.

However, Tyopev said police is investigating the matter.

Last week, at least five people have been killed in a suicide attack inside a mosque in North-Eastern Nigeria.
