Pakistani Twenty20 captain Mohammad Hafeez has said he believes Pakistan's all-rounder 'riches' will give them a definite edge in the World Twenty20, ahead of their opening Super 10 clash with archrivals India on Friday.
Veteran all-rounder Shahid Afridi was in spectacular form in the recent Asia Cup, also in Bangladesh, and Hafeez predicted the flamboyant all-rounder would continue in the same fashion even though he was 'not 100 percent' fit.
According to Sport24, Hafeez said that he believes his team has good all-rounders in the form of Afridi, himself, Shoaib Malik and Kamran Akmal as the wicketkeeper-batsman, adding that they are blessed to have players like that.
Hafeez further hailed Afridi's form, saying that it is a good sign for them as they always wanted the maverick leg-spinner, who is also one of the most hard-hitting batsmen around, to bat lower in the order and finish the game for Pakistan.
Hafeez's Indian counterpart Mahendra Singh Dhoni was envious of Pakistan's riches, saying that the more all-rounders a team has, the more difficult it gets for the opposition as the all-rounders add to the strength of the team.
