Halle Berry files for divorce from Olivier Martinez

Halle Berry has decided to part her ways from her husband Olivier Martinez as she has recently filled divorce papers.

The 49-year-old actress said in a joint statement with her husband, "It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce. We wish each other nothing but happiness in life and we hope that you respect our and most importantly, our children's privacy as we go through this difficult period," reports News.com.au.

The 'X-Men' star, who has cited irreconcilable differences as the reason of divorces, has not filed for joint or primary custody of their two-year-old son, Maceo.

The pair first met on the set of the 2012 film, 'Dark Tide' and has been married for two years and has a prenuptial agreement.
